2006 - 2003
Pivot Points highlighted painting and poetry, teaching and mentoring, by bringing together six artists (Richard Lazzaro, Victor Kord, Sally Bowring, Reni Gower, Beth Gilfilen, Valerie Bogdan) and six poets (Larry Levis, Dave Smith, Gregory Donovan, Elizabeth Seydel Morgan, Laura-Gray Street, Joshua Poteat) who had continuous ties as both teacher and student across three generations.
The relationships between the artists and poets were revealed through 29 paintings on paper, 6 poetry text panels, a color catalog, and CD / DVD recordings. With seven national venues, plus an international showing in Lima, Peru, the exhibition traveled from October 2003 until March 2006.
